Churikatte is about the lifestyle of Malenadu, forest, and about the people living in a village near the forest and vicious people who do not hesitate to do anything for money.

This film also aptly narrates the problems of honest police officers and the challenges they face while discharging their duties without fear or favour. It also showcases black sheep among the police officers and the difficulties of a prospective police officer. Churikatte has all elements to keep the audiences engrossed while watching it in theatres.

It may not be an exaggeration to say that Churikatte supports those who are campaigning for making films based on stories available in Kannada. It discourages those who crave for re-making other language films in Kannada.

It is an example how a director can make a good and interesting film if he/she works with commitment and dedication.

Churikatte is the story of forest and a nearby village. The hero and heroine are the students are college students in the village. They fall in love. The hero wants to join police department. He applies for a police constable job after completing PUC. He got selected for training. At this juncture, he ends up doing something to impress his lover. It becomes a huge struggle for the hero. The climax is about how hero and heroine come out of their problems.

As far as performance of the artistes is concerned, Achyuth Kumar, as a honest police officer, Manjunath Hegde, as a corrupt police officer, compete with each other. With this film, Sandalwood got a good artiste to play villain in Kannada films.

Praveen Tej has acted well. His skills in dancing and stunts deserve appreciation. Prerana Kambam has also acted well.

Vasuki Vaibhav has provided good music.

It is not that director has not done any mistake in this film. There are a few small mistakes that are qualified to ignore.

All in all, Ravi Shivamogga has succeeded in making this film interesting and worth for your money and time.

It is a must watch for those who crave for suspense thrillers.
