2018 could have been the year of reunions. Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra will be working together in Bharat after several years, Madhuri Dixit will romance Anil Kapoor again in Total Dhamaal and much more. But now we can’t say that anymore. That’s because one reunion has been cancelled. PC was supposed to reunite with Abhishek Bachchan as well for Sonali Bose’ next which is now titled The Sky Is Pink. But Mumbai Mirror reports now Farhan Akhtar has joined the cast. The actress and Akhtar will play parents to Zaira Wasim.
The report states that the film is a story on Aisha Chaudhary, the author of My Little Epiphanies, who was born with Immune Deficiency disorder and at the age of 13 was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. But despite her many diseases, she was full-of-life. She died at the age of 18 in 2015. The film charts her journey and PC and Farhan will play the parents. A source told the daily, “The prep will go on for a while after which they will lock on the shooting date depending on the actors’ schedules. Mostly it will begin before Priyanka starts shooting for the Salman Khan period drama, Bharat. The actors are really excited.”
Mumbai Mirror itself had reported earlier that Abhishek and Priyanka would reunite for this film. A source had then told the daily, “Zaira really liked the script and has given her nod to the project. Shonali is currently busy with the pre-production and is hoping to start shooting by the middle of this year in Mumbai. Priyanka and Abhishek will play parents to Zaira’s character.”
